NAMB Board Nominations

NAMB Nominating Committee Chair Linda McCoy, CRMS, has opened a Call for Nominations for the 2023-2024 Board of Directors!

We are relying on you to alert your fellow members to the nomination process and this call for nominations.

Anyone considering nominating another member for an Officer or Director position should first verify that the prospective nominee is interested and able to serve and has a reasonable chance of meeting our selection criteria. You may nominate yourself.

to Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at 5pm ET.

NAMB's Board of Directors is comprised of six Officers and up to 12 voting Directors. Each Officer serves a one-year term and is elected annually, except the President and Immediate Past President, who automatically ascend to their respective positions. Voting Directors serve three-year staggered terms, with a minimum of two Directors elected at-large each year. The Board is responsible for the supervision, control and overall direction of the ordinary business affairs of the Association.

CRITERIA: All nominees must be members in good standing and will be evaluated according to the following:

  • Involvement in state and local association activity
  • Breadth of experience
  • Effectiveness of contributions
  • Health and strength of state association
  • Involvement in NAMB activities
  • Personal qualities and skills
  • Proven ability to delegate responsibility to others
  • Respect for the opinions of others and the proven ability to work collegially with others to reach a consensus
  • Proven willingness and ability to express an opinion, and to engage constructively in discussion and debate
  • Integrity of action in business, association and personal activity
  • Proven ability to place the interests of NAMB above personal, state, or regional concerns
  • Proven ability to see the big picture, focus on strategic direction, and not try to micromanage the Association
  • Must have served on a NAMB committee for a period of one year

OPEN POSITIONS:

The following are open to NAMB Professional Members in good standing:

President-Elect: One-year term (must be a Professional member and have served as a NAMB Director; must hold a CRMS or CMC)

Vice President: One-year term (must be a Professional member and have served as a NAMB Director; must hold a CRMS or CMC)

Secretary: One-year term (must be a professional member and have served as a NAMB Director; must hold a CRMS or CMC)

Treasurer: One-year term (must be a professional member and have served as a NAMB Director; must hold a CRMS or CMC)

Director: Three-year, two-year or one-year term (dependent on seats to be filled). There will be at least two openings for Director positions for 2023-2024.

No person may serve as an Officer of NAMB if he or she holds the position of President or President-Elect in a State or Regional Affiliate of NAMB.

Please nominate more than one Professional Member who meets the qualifications necessary to serve as a Director.
